My son just turned 19 and has one foot out the door. I used to have no problem applying the term "single mom" to myself, but now it doesn't seem quite right. I'm not really "momming" anyone. If I call myself that nowadays I feel like I'm trying to lie my way into a club I don't belong to. I should be glad, I suppose. I'm too old to for labels anyway.
